Warriors Extend Win Streak to Three Games
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - Stephen Curry exploded for 42 points, including seven 3-pointers, as the Golden State Warriors cruised to a 130-102 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans on Thursday night at the Chase Center.
With the win, the Warriors extended their winning streak to three games and improved their record to 45-35. The Pelicans, who have now lost two straight, fell to 48-32.
Curry, who also had 7 assists, got plenty of help from his teammates. Klay Thompson added 25 points, while Andrew Wiggins had 20. Kevon Looney recorded a double-double with 12 points and 14 rebounds.
The Warriors took control of the game early, leading by as many as 20 points in the first half. The Pelicans made a small run in the third quarter, but the Warriors quickly regained control and put the game away in the fourth.
Brandon Ingram led the Pelicans with 21 points, while CJ McCollum added 19. Zion Williamson, who was listed as questionable with a hamstring injury, did not play.
The Warriors will now host the Indiana Pacers on Saturday night, while the Pelicans will travel to face the Memphis Grizzlies on Sunday.
