AVIH: What is it?

The term AVIH, which stands for Animal Vivant in Hold, refers to a new live animal screening facility that has been re-introduced at airports as of January 30, 2024.

AVIH: New Guidelines

According to the new guidelines, passengers will now be able to transport dogs and cats in the aircraft hold AVIH as long as they meet certain requirements.

Requirements:

• The animal must be a dog or cat.
• The animal must be a maximum of 75 kg including the kennel.
• The animal must be properly vaccinated and have a health certificate.
