The highly anticipated expansion for Monster Hunter Rise, titled Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, has officially set its release date for June 30th, 2022. The expansion will be available for both the Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam, marking a simultaneous launch across all platforms.
For those who do not own the base game, a complete package including both Monster Hunter Rise and the Sunbreak expansion will be available for purchase. Additionally, the expansion will be offered digitally as a standalone purchase for existing Rise players.
The announcement, made by series producer Ryozo Tsujimoto, came with a flurry of new details about the Sunbreak expansion. Players can expect to embark on a thrilling journey to the ancient citadel known as Elgado Outpost, where they will face off against fearsome new monsters and uncover the secrets behind the sinister Qurio.
